From Estimator to Senior Draftsperson—Without Missing a Day 

Daniel began his career in estimating, gradually transitioning into drafting as his responsibilities grew. “I started doing site cost reports, eventually drawing the site plans myself,” he explains. With time, he became the senior draftsperson at his company, overseeing a team of four and coordinating construction documentation across hundreds of new home builds each year. 

Yet despite his experience and responsibilities, Daniel had no formal drafting qualification—until BFDA’s RPL pathway helped bridge the gap.

For working professionals like Daniel, taking time off to study simply wasn’t an option. “We’re extremely time poor,” he says. “We build around 220 homes a year, and I’m still drawing quite a lot myself.” That’s where RPL came in.
